Benefits of sulphur
The practical use of sulphur: massage with sulphur stone, baths, sulphur-based dietary supplements... to combat osteoarthritis, pain, eczema.
Practical use of sulphur
Let us recall that some alkaline metals (non-acidic): Sodium, Potassium, Calcium produce bases (antacids) in the presence of water and sulphur. Thus one of the fundamental roles of sulphur is to ensure the acid-base balance of the body, notably in the cerebrospinal fluid, the amniotic fluid and bone metabolism.
Let us not forget that blood contains more sulphur (0.50%) than iron (0.42%).
Blood, iron, sodium and sulphur will carry out in the chemical factory that is the liver, certain transformations useful to our health. Indeed, the blood must be filtered in order to measure some of its components which are then redirected according to their usefulness, while those managed on site are stored (iron and glucose). Thus under the direction of sulphur, sodium is measured: the surplus is directed towards the bile which is a necessary resource for digestion, not a waste of blood.
Sulphur, pH regulator, will also intervene at the level of the skin and is a main actor of Keratin. Similarly, through its role with the body's water in albuminoids, Sulphur is essential for the lungs.
That is why massage with a sulphur stone allows to:
- fight certain migraines by stimulating the activity of cerebrospinal fluid by massaging the forehead and temples,
- stimulate the blood and digestion by promoting Liver-Spleen function by massaging the lower rib cage,
- improve breathing and oxygenation of the body by massaging the neck and chest,
- relieve joint pain, including osteoarthritis, by massaging sensitive points.
However, caution is advised in case of pregnancy and sulphur should not be used.
For your well-being, there are also sulphur-based dietary supplements:
- Haarlem Oil, dating from the 17th century,
- MSM (natural sulphur) often combined with Glucosamine and Chondroitin against joint pain.
So, discover or rediscover the benefits of Sulphur, one of Nature’s treasures.
