Candidiasis and Candida Albicans

Candidiasis is caused by the proliferation of a fungus: candida albicans which can affect the whole body. There are ways to get rid of it.

Fighting Candidiasis

Candidiasis is a disease caused by the proliferation of a fungus: candida albicans which can affect the whole body.

Candidiasis is a disease caused by the proliferation of a fungus: candida albicans.

This fungus located in the intestinal walls is harmless under normal conditions. But sometimes this fungus multiplies when the natural balance is broken: acidity, heat, sugar... causing a superficial candidiasis (cutaneous or mucous) which can develop into deep candidiasis.

The proliferation of Candida Albicans :

There are predisposing factors: heavy metals (vaccines, dental amalgams), antibiotic therapies, contraceptive pill, corticosteroids, diet too rich in sugar, stress, hormonal imbalance...

Under certain conditions, Candida Albicans proliferates and changes from a unicellular form (yeast) to a multicellular form (mould of the mycelium type). It can then cross the intestinal walls and enter the blood and lymphatic system.

  • Candida multiplies and migrates:

By disturbing the balance of the intestinal flora, it becomes responsible for digestive disorders (indigestion, bad breath, bloating, transit disorders, intestinal spasms, anal itching).
By developing in the mucous membranes, it will cause inflammations: mouth, throat, nose, urinary tract, vagina, skin (eczema, psoriasis....

  • Candida increases intestinal permeability :

The intestines made porous will be crossed by undigested food which will penetrate the blood vessels and lymph. This will result in food intolerances or allergies.

  • Candida secretes toxins :

At least 79 toxins are known, some of which disrupt neurotransmitters causing nervous disorders: depression, anxiety, irritability, memory problems...
These toxins will also trigger an immune response which can react by increased histamine production potentially causing allergic reactions. Damage to the immune system may be reflected by a decrease in T lymphocytes weakening the individual and making them more vulnerable to infections. Besides the fatigue that sets in, the toxins produced by Candida can also affect muscles and joints.

  • Candida alters hormonal functions :

Having membrane receptors binding hormones, Candida will modify their functioning and cause stimulation of the body's autoimmune processes against these hormones.

Symptoms :

  • Digestive disorders: indigestion, gas, bloating, diarrhoea, constipation, anal itching, swollen belly, abdominal pain, burning of the stomach and oesophagus, food allergies.
  • Hormonal disorders: intensified premenstrual syndrome, cycle disorders, hypoglycaemia, hypothyroidism, sexual disorders…
  • Nervous system disorders: depression, poor memory, difficulty concentrating, anxiety, headaches, mood changes, disturbed sleep.
  • Respiratory problems: rhinitis, sinusitis, coryza, bronchitis, cough, asthma…
  • Skin problems: eczema, psoriasis, urticaria, acne rosacea, thrush, mycoses, itching, vaginal infections…
  • Allergies: of all kinds.
  • General metabolism: chronic fatigue, cravings, demineralisation, muscle and joint pain, weight gain, oedema…

How to fight candidiasis :

A specific diet :

  • eliminating sugar in all its forms (white sugar, brown sugar, sucrose, maltose, lactose, dextrose, honey) and all foods that may contain it (molasses, caramel, syrups, lemonades and sodas, jams, alcohol, chocolate, biscuits),
  • eliminating cereals and carbohydrates (pasta, bread, rusks),
  • eliminating yeasts (bread, pizza, cakes, beers),
  • eliminating stimulants such as coffee and tea,
  • reducing certain foods such as overly sweet fruits, dairy products, processed foods...

A treatment based on natural products :

Besides the antifungal action of these products, it is advisable to repair the damaged intestine and repopulate its flora with

probiotics and prebiotics :

The anti-candida treatment must be continued for several months with dosages adapted to each personal situation.
