Acid-Base Balance

Understanding the physiological balance of our body
The stability of the acid-base balance is a determining factor for health.
The more a body releases hydrogen ions, the more it will be a strong acid. This is the notion of the pH of a substance.
In order to maintain the physiological balance of the body's various fluids, the kidneys, lungs and skin participate in the acid-base buffer system by binding each acid to a base to neutralise it.
The kidneys regulate blood pH by adjusting the concentration of bicarbonates and filtering acids which will be eliminated through urine.
The skin excretes 800 grams of water in the form of sweat. It contains salt, urea, uric acid, amino acids, lactic acid, glucose…
The lungs expel carbon dioxide and contribute to pH regulation.
Physical overwork, lack of oxygenation (too sedentary a life), mineral deficiencies, poor diet, liver or kidney weakness are sources of disorders, (acidosis but also its opposite: an excess of alkaline metals).
These imbalances can manifest as numerous pathologies: rheumatism, osteoarthritis and arthritis, decalcification, kidney or gallstones, neuralgia, cramps, hypertension, diabetes, liver failure, irritability, depression…
Test your urinary pH and if necessary correct the balance with mineral salt compounds in the form of citrate ensuring better cellular penetration.
However, a good product must be accompanied by good hygiene and a balanced diet. “Let food be thy medicine” said Hippocrates.
